At Triton Museum of Art, we want to make art accessible to everyone and remove financial barriers felt in the underserved population. We have implemented the KidStudio Community Scholarship Program to give families the opportunity to provide their children with quality art programs.

Children do not learn the same way. Research has shown that art education increases student engagement and the probability of success in school. KidStudio Community Scholarship program at the Triton Museum of Art is a small way in which we can make a big difference in a child's life.

Eligible students are chosen using the following criteria:

  • Economic need
  • Students with limited access to extracurricular activities
  • Students who have shown an interest in the arts**

** Artistic merit is not a determining factor in awarding these scholarships. The Museum would like to ensure, however, that the children receiving the scholarships have a strong interest in the Arts.

The goal of the scholarship program is to give children access to the arts who might not otherwise have the opportunity. The museum relies on the schools to select qualified students.
