About the Role
The Museum Experience Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service to museum visitors and guests. MERS is also responsible for the safety and care of the art on display and for ensuring proper use of the museum and surrounding facilities by visitors, renters, caterers, guests, and other third-party vendors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greets visitors in a friendly and positive manner and correctly answers inquiries for information about the Triton's exhibits and programs.
Greets, orients, and interacts with renters, caterers, guests, and third-party vendors.
Assures the safety and care of the art on display.
Efficiently facilitates sales in the Museum store.
Accurately perform closing and opening functions for the museum and its surrounding buildings.
Maintains the orderly appearance of the museum, JBH House, gardens, and pavilions; this includes light cleaning duties as needed.
Deciphers event floor plans, contracts, and rental agreements.
Follow emergency and safety procedures, ensuring the safety and care of all visitors.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one year of customer service experience.
• Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision.
