Overview:

In this Afterschool camp inspired by the Year of the Dragon, students will be encouraged to

unleash their creative fire. Students will draw influences from western dragons, eastern dragons, and dragon-type Pokemon. Other figures of dragon folklore (such as knights/princesses and other magical creatures) will also be explored.

In this 6-week session camp, students will:

● Utilize drawing and painting techniques, as well as mixed-media materials.

● Learn how to draw the proper human body proportions and how to exaggerate the

human shape into other styles (including Pokemon style)

● Embark on gallery field trips and gain inspiration for their projects.

● Reinforce the principles and elements of art and design.
